Thank You- Audrey

If we never met We would't be in debt But that's not the case Cause it would be a huge disgrace I'm thankful that we're friends For all the odds and ends That we do We say deja vu The adventures we take Singing along with Drake Sitting on the couch Not being a grouch Watching lots of movies With no duties Taking in all our nasty smells While drinking from the wells Playing headbands Not using our hands At the dinner tables Guessing I am Able Lots of car rides Wearing our slides having tons of fun Eating hot dog buns Not quite ready to move on But i'll be leaving at dawn Friends forever Wont be gone long however

Growing like a flower
Beaming like the sun
Your love shines

Night in Boston

The air is crisp
Stars are glowing
Laying down on the sand of the shore
Noticing the constellations
Its a full moon

Driving on the brick streets
With stonewalls as guardrails
Parking in the city of Boston
To take The T
It was an adventure
Every personality in one place
People in business suits traveling to the airport
And others in pajamas going to their grandma's house
Street dancers dancing to hip-hop
Still others are playing classical music on their string instruments

Late night arrival at Fenway Park
Watching the baseball game
With stadium lights
Shining intensely
Crowds are insane
Trying to escape at the end

Climbing the stairs of the lighthouse
In the Boston Harbor
Past midnight
Holding on to the rails
Not glancing down quite yet
Step on the gallery
By the light room
Laying out a blanket
To have a midnight picnic
Looking past the waves
In search for boats
The light goes round n'round
Putting sweatshirts on
Leaning down on the guard rails
We can see so much afar

Love Cycle

Our talent vanished
Given up on the game
No chance to get up
With many double-fault serves
Our legs are like elephants
Stuck to the ground
Hitting the net
In no-man's-land
We're still at love
Giving a gracious handshake
To not show our disappointment
Maybe next time

The time has come again
Celebrating the seniors last match
It was time to dominate
We gave a little leeway
We're having so much fun
Wanted to play longer
And knew we could win
Giving them some points
Our faces had smiles
Shouting "out" tot he other team
Nothing could be better
Then serving aces
It was our time to shine
As we won the game
To handshake the loosing team
Our talent excelled
Our game transcend

The loosing team thinks they have a chance
And called for a rematch
To be continued...

Friends At A Distance

her heart beats
an indescribable feeling
sparks flying
they're miles apart
only a couple characters away
late night texts
with emotion expressed
giggles come out
while sharing his history
experiences are developed
memories are made
waiting for the clock
making it the time
when they first meet

RED

I like taking lyrics and make a version of a found poem from it! Can you guess what this is?

Take A Back Road

I did something a little bit different! Hope you like it!

Just Gotta Laugh

Enemies on the court
Making balls fall short
They say its not a fun sport
But it may be your last resort

The yellow ball
Is served to the other doll
Who asked to recall
If the serve was banal

On  our toes
Whatever we say goes
The others may oppose
Especially the girl with the roman nose

Day at the Bay

Feet in the sand
Working our sweat gland
Sitting in the sun
With hair in a bun

Watching the waves
While the lifeguards count their saves
The water is too cold
And it couldn't be controlled

The sun rays  beaming
As we are dreaming
For the guys to come
To ask us for a piece of gum

Oh what a wonderful day
To sit out on the bay

Sport of Love

Love means nothing
To some who are living
They go on the courts
And build their forts
Calling shots out
Acting like a snout

Making a grunt
While saving a bunt
Hitting it back over the net
Making the others fret
Not prepared to hit it back
And went out of wack
From the curve of the ball
Which had them win it all

SPRING

As the rain dries up
The flowers sprout during the day
They bloom from green grass

Spirits

Lift our Spirits
As the rain is coming down
Making puddles
And giving people headaches

Lift our spirits
When the living dies
People dressed in black
Mourning over their loss

Lift our spirits
Because of family conflict
Tension in the kitchen
With fists on the table

Lift our spirits
So people don't commit suicide
For those who hang out on the streets
And see no reason to live

RED LIGHT

I hope you enjoy this poem. It is something I  wrote in the beginning of the season.

Woke up
With realization
It broke my heart
I sent the text
Pouring out my soul
To my friend

Rushing to work
The sky is still dark
Guilty conscious feeling
As I run a red light
I look behind me
Something I didn’t see before

Haven’t heard from her
We needed to talk
To clear things up
If it means it is over or not
Willing to give it up
Not break another one

I saw lights
Heard the siren
I was being followed
Pulled to the side
It was all I could say

She responds back
Being responsible
Admitted it was her fault
Wanted to keep everything
Even make it more special
Apologizing for not being aware
Of it all

All I felt was guilt
As I looked into the eyes
Of the intimidating man
I confessed
Don’t want to make a habit

Thankful
Dominated the pain
Taking advantage of the incident
A rich experience
Making two closer
To one another

It was conquered
Not driving back
But just going straight

Forward

Bad Morning

Rubbing the eyes
After slamming the clock
Stretching in bed
With a long groan
Loud enough
To sound-like a camel

Walking to the bathroom
Adjusting eyes to the light
Barely see

Quietly walking around
Not wanting to wake one
Tiptoeing around the weak floor boards
And not flushing the toilet

Forgetting to brush teeth
Rushing to the bus stop
In the pouring rain
With no rain coat
But no chance to run back

The bus screeches from the brakes
And splashes the person aside from the puddle
She was me

What could go worse

I walk onto the bus,
Find a seat by the window
With cold feet and wet pants
Sitting on brownie crumbs
From someone's snack yesterday

Arriving to school
Falling down the bus steps
People looking at me
No one offering help

Walking to first class of the day
I decide sleeping would be the best
Nothing could be better

What do I want to do MP 4?

In MP 4 I would like to write inspirational poems.  Writing poetry helps me get my day started off right! :)

Favorite story of all time!

My favorite story is Bethany Hamilton's testimony.  She wouldn't be where she is at with out her faith and the shark bite. I am really encouraged by her testimony because she never stopped trying.

At the age of thirteen, on October 31, 2003, Bethany was attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark while surfing off Kauai’s North Shore. The attack left Bethany with a severed left arm. After losing over 60% of her blood, and making it through several surgeries without infection, Bethany was on her way to recovery with an unbelievably positive attitude. Lifeguards and doctors believe her strong water sense and faith in God helped get her through the traumatic ordeal.
Miraculously, just one month after the attack, Bethany returned to the water to continue pursuing her goal to become a professional surfer. In January of 2004, Bethany made her return to surf competition; placing 5th in the Open Women’s division of that contest. With no intention of stopping, Bethany continued to enter and excel in competition. Just over a year after the attack she took 1st place in the Explorer Women’s division of the 2005 NSSA National Championships – winning her first National Title.
In 2007, Bethany realized her dream and turned pro. Bethany has since participated in numerous ASP and World Tour Events with a major highlight being a second place finish in the ASP 2009 World Junior Championships.
Since losing her arm, Bethany’s story has been told in hundreds of media outlets and she has been recognized with numerous awards, public appearances, and various speaking engagements.

What do I want to write about?

If I were to do a unit of Poetry, I would want to write about relationships and emotions. I like writing about it because it is something everyone deals with and are able to relate to the character in the poem.

I really enjoyed writing the poem Red Light because it is something personal. I've never ran a red light but I did feel lonely as my friend never made time for me and always spent it with her boyfriend.  I was wanting to define our friendship; are we friends or not? We promised each other we would keep each other accountable, so I took the step forward  to tell her how I felt and at the end I have no regrets because we are closer then ever before.
